| Grid Ref: |

Long barrow 150ft long, 84ft wide and 6ft high seen by A.T Wicks in 1926 160ft long, 90ft wide and 6ft high orientated SE-NW (Chewton Mendip II). Much disturbed. {1}
Long mound orientated NNW-SSE with maximum height of 2.7m at its N end where there is also a large hollow, apparently caused by stone robbing. Rather low lying and poor orientation cast some doubt on the acceptance of classification as a long barrow, especially since this is a mining area. {2}
Scheduled as AM 140a as a long barrow. Mound 37m long, 20m wide and 2.75m high at best, running roughly SE-NW. Much dug into at the N end with elder and brambles growing in the hollow. Elsewhere the mound is covered with long grass, nettles and some sloe. Survives unploughed in an arable field and the plough does not damage the existing mound. However, from the colour of the plough soil some length may have been lost from the N end in the past. {3}
Grinsell's NGR is ST60125302. Contained within cemetery (PRN 23256). {4}
Scheduling revised with new national number 11.08.93. {6}
Large, uneven mound lying within an arable field. Cover of coarse grass and nettles with much scrub of elder, thorn and bramble with an established ash tree on the NE side. On N and E sides, ploughing to within 1m of base, wider margin on W. Some rabbit activity on top. {7}
