The Neolithic long barrow, centred at ST 5857 4961, is visible as an slight earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 and as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1964.
The barrow is defined by a long oval mound, measuring up to 37m by up to 9m in width. Ditches either side of the mound are visible as cropmarks on the 1964 photographs. The ditches are spread out either side of the area previously covered by the bank. They measure up to 24m in length by up to 11m in width.
Buildings of a Medieval or Post Medieval farmstead are visible as earthworks on 1946 aerial photographs which encroach upon the mound. A modern farmstead is located adjacent to this area on the modern OS mapping and the effects of agriculture between the Medieval and Modern periods probably led to the levelling of the long barrow. {9}
